Have you recently published an article, book, report, or other scholarly work?

The So What? Project is a short-form podcast that helps researchers explain their work in plain language for a general audience. Each episode is approximately 5–7 minutes long and focuses on one simple question:

So what? Why does this research matter?

We are seeking researchers from all disciplines who are interested in making their work accessible to a general listenership.

How It Works

1. Complete a short contributor form.

   • • Found in the Contributor Guide below.

2. Record answers to a set of guided questions.

   • • Also found in the Contributor Guide below.

3. Submit your audio file and publication information

• Submissions can be made via email (thesowhatprojectpodcast@gmail.com) or through the Google Form below.

4. We'll edit and produce the episode.

No interviews. No scheduling. No podcasting experience required.

What We're Looking For

We welcome submissions from researchers in any discipline who have recently completed or published:

• Journal articles

• Books or book chapters

• Reports

• Research projects

• Community-engaged scholarship

• Creative scholarly work

... and can speak on their topic is a manner understandable to someone unfamiliar with their field of study.
